About Selma Firefighters, IAFF Local 3716

Serving Selma. Protecting Our Community.

Selma Firefighters, IAFF Local 3716 proudly represents the professional firefighters and emergency personnel who serve the Selma community. Our members are dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the well-being of the residents and visitors we serve.

As members of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), we are committed not only to the highest standards of fire and emergency services, but also to supporting our fellow firefighters, their families, and the community we call home.

Our work goes far beyond responding to fires. Every day, our members answer calls for medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, fires, rescues, hazardous situations, and countless other emergencies. We understand that when someone calls 911, they are often experiencing one of the most difficult moments of their lives. We are proud to be there when our community needs us most.

More Than Firefighters

Selma Firefighters are also active members of the community. We believe in building strong relationships with the people we serve through community outreach, education, charitable activities, and public safety programs.

We are committed to:

• Protecting our community through professional emergency response and preparedness.
• Supporting our members and their families.
• Promoting firefighter safety and maintaining the highest professional standards.
• Educating the public about fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
• Giving back to Selma through community involvement and charitable efforts.
• Advocating for a strong fire service that has the resources, staffing, training, and equipment necessary to keep our community safe.

Our Commitment

Being a firefighter is more than a job—it is a commitment to serve others. Our members take great pride in the trust placed in us by the Selma community.

Selma Firefighters, IAFF Local 3716 will continue to stand ready to serve, protect, and support our community—today and for generations to come.
